Is anyone running this muffler? And if so, what size did you get? They have different dimisions depending on the vehicle (3"x10", 4"x8" or standard 4"x9.5").

I've checked out FM's website and it looks like the 50 Delta Flow is a little lounder than the 50 SUV version but not as loud as the 40 series. I heard a Banks system the other day and it was louder than I'm looking for. I'm curious how this one compares to the Banks and the MBRP systems. I'm tempted to spend a little extra for the MBRP but I'm not convinced it will add that much more, if any, performance than the Flowmaster. Anyone have input?

I can't help much, but I can tell you that Jwm1986 has a 50 on his TJ and it sounds great! I'm jonesing for one myself... :) It's got a nice tone, but not loud unless you really get on it. At idle you just know the Jeep is running... It doesn't drone like some of the louder ones can either.

50 DFs are quieter than the 40 DFs. I think they may be a bit bigger though so make sure it will fit otherwise the muff shop will be jury rigging it to fit (which you prolly dont want). Id be very careful about which muffler you pick as Im sure a nice sound is top priority b/c power certainly shouldnt be ;)

Yeah, they are bigger and won't tuck up under the body like the 40's do. But they are a lot smaller (almost half as much) than the stock muffler. Fitting at the back shouldn't be a problem. I'm even tempted to try and get the dual outlet version and run a second pipe out the back just for appearance purposes. I know there's no performance gain, not that there is with the new muffler anyway.

I ran the 50s SUV muffler on a Jeep Liberty a few years back and the sound was pretty good. The 50s Delta Flow should be a little more aggressive, but so is my Rubicon.

 I got rid of my stock muffler and put a Flowmaster 40 series cat-back-"DUAL" and I put in front of the evap-can, because a 50 series wouldn't fit

Now after a year of breakin-it sounds "STUPENDOUS", although maybe a little loud for you, I've been using Flowmaster for quite a few years so I'm used to louder/rap/burble !!

That looks nice, Jimbo. Any pics of the tail pipes at the back? Did you split them to come out at each corner or straight back together.

How loud is your 40s muffler compared to the same Jeep running a Banks or Gibson exhaust? Have you compared? I've heard them but haven't run into anyone running the FM 40s yet. Not a lot of modified Jeeps in my little town.
