Just looking for everyone personal opinion on the exhaust subject. I am currently looking at the Flowmaster American Thunder Catback or the Magnaflow Rock Crawler exhaust. I am leaning toward the Flowmaster. I have heard so far from different people that there is drone from one so go with this one and vise versa. Just looking for some more input.

I have the magnaflow rock crawler exhaust on my jeep JKU. It is great on the highway and has a nice low rumble at low rpm iff you accelerate at a normal pace. If you floor it, the sound is not too great, but then again not terrible. It does give you a lot more clearance in the back, and can not be seen.

Funny this post came up - was at a meet and greet this weekend with the Jeepers United - met a guy that was behind me in the convoy and he had the Flowmaster American thunder exhaust - sounds really good. I was riding in front of him and it sounded like he had something different then stock.
Had him crank it later at idle and it sounded nice- not obnoxious at all..
Definitely get rid of the big tank under the tub , sits nice and high.

Read reviews on Amazon and it gets mixed reviews - mostly with install - you may have to shorten the tube and if you have exhaust spacers - may have to shorten some more - I liked it..

I also don't care for the look of dual exhaust on a Jeep - looks fine on trucks, muscle cars and BMW's but on the Wranglers , it looks out of place - just my opinion.

Hope others chime in.

FWIW: I just installed a 15236 Rockcrawler on a 3.6 2-door Tuesday. I don't like it at all. The three unsolicited comments I've received so far have been, "Ugggh, that sounds like ass when you get on it," "Man, that sounds raggeddy assed, what did you do to your exhaust?" and "Why is it so much louder? It hurts my ears when it does that," from my wife. The first two comments were from car buddies who love a good loud aftermarket exhaust.

Here's the thread I resurrected to comment on it:

I am keeping the system because the clearance is so good, but adding back the front OEM resonator to tone it down a bit and "strain the rice out." :D

Those are a few reason I think I will be going with the Flowmaster. Too loud and a bit of rice... not a great combo in my mind. I am pretty sure we have jeeps and not some toyota thing. Oops not sure if we can slam toyotas or not. OH WELL. TOO LATE.
