Fog lights, do you leave them on?

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed (and now can't stop noticing) that it seems like no JKs ever have their fog lights on.

Do you leave yours on?

I leave mine on all the time don't see why not too. BUT it seems like 97% of the JKs I see don't ever have theirs on. I have now chalked it up to mall crawler status b/c they probably don't even know they aren't on and don't know how to turn them on. Am I being to harsh and people are really just saving them for when it's actually foggy?

I don't understand why you would consider others mall crawlers because they don't drive around with their fog lights on all day. The lights have a purpose. They don't do much to illuminate the road unless it's actually foggy.

Personally..... IF I NEVER saw/heard/read the internet forum term "M@!! Cravv!err" again - I'd be Good.
I agree with this. People who don't go offroad still understand how to operate their vehicle. There is fog in town on paved roads. Back when I had the crappy stock headlights I had my fogs on whenever I used my headlights. No so much now that I have LED's.

I actually searched for an existing thread like the one above and couldn't seem to find it, figured it had to have been discussed previously. thanks for the link and sorry for the repeat post I do actually try to avoid since there is so much Deja vu around here.

But I was thinking more all night, not all day. The reason I brought up it was with out upgraded headlights I think you can absolutely tell the difference in light with them on. Plus with all the talk about the stock headlights not being great the more light the better.

As for the mall crawler comments I think it just gets taken way to seriously. A great percentage of people will never take there Jeep off road and enjoy driving it to work and back and there's nothing wrong with that IMO.

I have met a few people new to jeeps that thought they were just always on when the headlights were. Its kinda like a brake light out won't know it until someone tells you usually.

I have 2017 factory LED auto headlights, and have my fog lights set to on. So when ever the auto lights come on, my fog lights come on as well. I live in a small town in Canada where the streets are usually pretty dark and light poles (if there are any on that road) are usually spaced really far apart. Between the dark roads, potholes, snow, and moose jumping out the ditches the fog lights do wonders! I'd actually rather run fog lights then headlights if I had to choose. But since I can have both on, I use both, and leave them set to auto. I find they improve being able to see side to side significantly. They light up the sides of the roads way more. Saying that they don't project a whole lot of light forward. I had a 13 Wrangler before this one and did the same thing. I personally find they help a lot here. At least on the sides of the roads!

I run my fogs as DRLs or when there is really bad fog, or inclement weather. I never run them normally at night.

I have mine set as DRL's for visibility of my vehicle during the day and to fill in below where my headlights hit during the night. Its easier to see a vehicle with its lights on even in bright sun. That's why DRL's were invented and standardized on a lot of cars. But regardless it's your jeep run em or don't. Don't worry about what everybody else is doing, let them do or don't as they please.

I'm with @RubiconSS I'm about over the Mall Crawler stuff.

I've been to the mall with my Jeep a couple of times. That's where the IMAX is and we went to see Star Wars at Christmas.
Old white guys don't do malls. We mail-order from Duluth Trading and bitch about millennials.

What fog lights? haven't had fog lights since I change my headlights out. They have a very wide low beam and act just like fog lights in many ways. I have no trouble seeing both sides of the road on a 2 lane highways and they don't blind on coming drivers. I swapped the fogs for 20 degree driving lights that are angled slightly to the sides for deer detection.
