(I dont want to read through that huge ticking post)
Did they replace just the one ticking head or did they replace both as a proactive strike? If only one head was replaced, did the ticking come back in the other head?
I just got the P0302 today and Im going to bring it up to the garage at lunch. I dont want to have this one replaced now and be out of a car for a week then in another 5,000 mile, or whatever, have the same thing happen on the other side.
Im on the way to work and I get a check engine light on and think "damn, this better not be what I think it is". I check the code when I get in to work and sure enough, BAM P0302. I didnt notice any ticking or rough running or anything. Just tossed the code out of nowhere. Boo
