I installed my ARB compressor, mounted the switches and ran the main wires. What I can't figure out is where to put the two small wires that go to an illumination source and ignition hot. My first thought was to tap the cigarette lighter for the ignition hot but ARB says the circuit should be able handle at least 8 amps. I wasn't able to see the fuse for the lighter but the wires are pretty small and 8 amps plus a GPS might blow the fuse. For the illumination source I guess I tap a dash light wire but am worried CANbus will have a conniption. An example would be that when I unplugged and removed the dash cluster the wipers and low beams would come on when the ignition key was turned on. So the system doesn't like to be messed with.
So the question actually comes down to where you tapped the source for those two wires?
