For those with xrc armor

Hey what's up everyone,

So I finally decided what I wanted to do as far as flares/fenders for my jku.

Decided on smittybilt Xrc armor and have realized there isn't a write up anywhere about installing these.

I plan on making a photo write up when I install mine but I did have a few questions.

First of all I just want to make sure that these REPLACE stock fenders not just go over then.... Any drilling and such is done into sub fender of the vehicle and they mount after removing the stock sheet metal correct.

Also was wondering if there were any pointers or cautions I need to be away of before jumping into installation

Any help would be appreciated thank you

Matt

I have a friend with them on his jeep. He bought it that way. So i don't know a lot about them but from looking at his, the front sheet metal where the fender attaches is gone. the rears look like it is bolted into the sheet metal. They are cool looking but it looks like it is kind of a permanent replacement that is not easily transformed back to stock if that is something you would ever want to do. He also says that filling up with gas is kind of a pain because it kind of hides the fuel filler opening. gotta go at it at an angle. Hopefully someone else will chime in with more personal experience.

I love those fenders. But I hate the manufacturer.
