well.. *scratches forehead* thats different.. a take on Scherbs jerry can mount.. But still not to my liking.. if anything I would have cut away some of the fender as to enclose the can/mount like the Jeep Africa concept,But again the jerry can in that image has been cut/reshaped to fit in the spot.
Has me thinking though.. wonder if anyone (Schreb) could create a second row door or panel with an inset as to allow a flush mount rotopax or jerry can.. You know me, always trying to be creative with the second set of half doors..
True. @USStrongman he claim (and I'm not doubting or hating) but just looks extremely close.. I said the same thing to Schreb and he had to make a video of him opening his doors with the jerry beside the mirrors
doors open all the way with room to spare. Installed at angle because my roof rack bars made a vertical mount difficult. Second thought... better to mount can holders permanent. Would be rigid. Theses are ebay can holders welded to steel at an angle. Should have had solid metal holders made... with a lid
probably not expensive which would hide cans. ebay can holders and ALL others have weak locking mechanism so I had bars made and bought Masterlock Disc Padlocks (China) which have a bad rap. I greased them well and if all goes right they should work. Very hard to get bolt cutters on.
My JK was to be my TOAD... but I like it so much it is my daily driver... then it became my SHTF vehicle. Keeping it stock but next plan upgrading suspension a little without changing the ride.
Just for info: I lost elec power once. By disconnecting the battery cables and holding the neg and positive cables together 30 seconds I re set the computer. Strange but true.
JSHERB is amazing. Hard to follow everything he has done or is doing. Would like to install side slider windows but looks like that is happening only for the JKU now.
Like this site but either my Internet connection is slow or the Ad's are getting in the way... BUT its all here... the answer or new idea so will check back every once in a while but it will not be my daily driver...
