Found my rattle

Finally found the source of my rattle.

It happened at low RPM's after the shift in any gear.
I thought it was engine knock/ping but it happens with little load put on the engine.

Exhaust crossmember welds checked ok.

Surprised what it turned out to be and how much racket it made... All the time

And-

Right below the intermediate shaft there is a heat shield. Right behind that shield runs a vacuum line of some sort, not sure what it is ??
So i pulled the shield away from the line. What do you know ? Rattle is gone.

Just something to look into

I know. Every rattle/noise thread I read, turns out to be the shield on the exhaust cross member.

Nice find. I've got a strange rattle myself. It happens once I hit around 40 mph and continues on from then on. Thing is, I don't believe it it really speed related. I think it is more wind related, because I have heard it a few times when traveling slowly into a headwind or a crosswind comes by. Almost sounds like a plastic bag rattling sound. Very strange. Still haven't been able to track it down, but it is definitely coming from the drivers side front area.
