Freedom Top Carrier

2012 JK question? Will the Freedom Top Carrier that fits '09-'11 work on the '12? My guess is yes. Anyone have one?

Also why does Mopar's web site suck so much?

Sometimes a minor change is made to a part or more that isn't obvious that wrecks the best laid plan.

Will let you know as soon as my 2012 comes in. Here is a photo of one on my 2007.

Didn't Mopar discontinue them?

Here it is w/o the panels. The mounting bracket fits behind the spare and extends through the center opening.

They did change the design of the panels in 11 so don't know if they will.
Read this at my local Okie club forum. I want a carrier by Thursday afternoon. Three of us are doing a long weekend fall foliage tour...we'll wind up lost here Superlift ORV Park in Hotsprings, Arkansas Saturday morning for a day.

Send me the dimensions of your panels and I will measure. Don't know where you can get one that fast.

Mine came with a bag also w/straps. I just slip the tops in there, stand them behind the rear seat and the straps go around the two headrests. Fits perfectly and doesn't take up any room to speak of.

And before anyone comments about visibility, I can't see back there anyway.

I lay kine down because when they're standing up they block half the back window. HUGE blind spot!

The size and shape of the panels didn't change. This is more important in a JK I don't have the extra room of a JKU. I ordered my carrier with three day shipping. Road trip!

There are two for sale on eBay. I emailed the seller and ask if it would fit on a 2012 Wrangler. Below is his answer.
Quote:
According to Jeep it will not work
Don't see any reason why not.
I was planning to use it on my 2012.
