Front adjustable LCA's

After installing my TF 2.5" coil lift my JK has left a bit to be desired in regards to bumpsteer and following the slope of the road when driving, mainly on rough surface streets. It tracks straight and drives fine at highway speeds, but on potholed roads it likes to dance around a bit. I don't like it so much.

I'm looking at the Rock Krawler adj LCA's seen here: Rock Krawler Suspension RK02015 - Rock Krawler High Clearance Adjustable Front Lower Control Arms for 07-12 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec

Anybody have experience with these? Is there a better (more durable) option at that price or lower? I appreciate any input...

I usually don't pull out the camera while I'm working, but will if I see anything odd or obvious with the bjs. I find it odd that the first shop I went to says they only use OEM or Moog. Says the Moog is only better because it fits tighter or closer tolerance iirc. The second shop does mopar. I don't know why I would put the same junk on knowing I'll have do it again, and pay them $700 to do it? Besides, the synergy design just looks stronger to me. Saw on another forum that Moog makes an adjustable and greasable bj for adjusting camber/caster. I'm decided on synergy. I figure do it myself with lca's and tools for less and accomplish more. The way I'm seeing it, with the caster right there will be less wear on the bjs and take care of all handling issues at the same time.

My lower ball joints were shot at only 26100 miles running 35's the previous owner installed right before he traded it in. Be sure you have a breaker bar unless you have an impact gun. I replaced mine manually, no air tools and there's no way it would've been done without the breaker bar. Also be sure to get the 4WD ball joint press, there is an additional cup used for easier install along with some additional pieces. Got mine from HF, was on sale for 69.99 plus found a 20% off coupon out of the Sunday paper, end up being 55 and change after tax. They also have a 3 in 1 kit, don't get it, it's exactly the same as the one you can rent from autozone. Good luck on the install, I'd offer to assist and let you use my kit if you were closer.

Synergy adj lca's installed last night. Fixed my handling issues, and not putting much effort to stay in the middle of MY lane.

Now waiting for balljoints to arrive today or tomorrow.
Freakin sweet :thumb:

Now I have to adjust mine out again :whistling:

TF 2.5". It wasn't horrible, but now drives better than stock and still need balljoints. Maybe not as noticeable with longer wheelbase on your JKU.

I changed mine to fix the caster, I feel that with caster being off it puts more wear on balljoints and steering components.

I have mine preset to 23.25" but easy to fine tune the caster without removing the bolts. Shouldn't have to pay extra when I get my alignment.
What is the best way to measure?

The arms are curved. Does it matter witch side?

I've heard that TF's instructions say to set the drivers side 23 1/8 and passenger 23.

What size lifts are you guys experiencing handling problems with? My tereflex 3" is sick. I enjoy it more then the stock handling. I installed it this past Sunday. Ive driven 400 miles on it and I love it.
Deff not "better then stock" the caster adj made it better IMO

Jks makes a front trac bar frameside bolt on reinforced mount to correct frame flex which occurs on 2 drs with 2 or more inches of lift. Its cheep, ive got friends that use it and it fixes most mystery/ death wobble beginings before they start or progress. You should check em out.

Instructions on mine said 23.25" center of hole to other center. Because of the curve I went to the side that was easiest to get a good measurement. I was careful to make sure the Johnny joints were straight as that could affect the measurements a little.

Interesting. Thanks.

Good "2 door" point.

It does seem the 4 door does better with a small lift.

I just ordered a front adj. TB
Will check into that mount.. Whatever it is

Yep ... Ok

I bought mine from a member. They were at 23.25 :thumb: and I liked the way the jeep handled. Now set to stock specs :nonono:

Could think they are a cake to adjust :)

It obviously will further tighten the JKU front end also. Uses existing steering box bolts and trac arm bolt. Good quality braket. Does not relocate, just reinforces frame side front trac arm bracket

This ?

Looks like all it does is beef up the stock mount

Im on my cell, that bracket could be it, the pic is microscopic on my phone go to www.jksmfg.com it doesnt just piggy back the oem mount. It braces to the frame using syeering box bolts etc... Doing so, almost eliminates flex there which contributes to hamdling issues etc. Cheap insurance my friend. JP mag does a jk build in aprils issue and installs one. Im getting one to be safe.

I think what you are taking about is for the rear.
