Front Bumper End Caps

Who makes end caps for those who have cut their front bumper? I am considering cutting mine until I decide what front bumper I am going with.

If you are handy, you can reuse the cut off ends and make your own end caps.

X2 look more rugged then the VDP's and are made of steel and match perfectly.

I just did some VDP ends as well, little pricy for what they are IMO but they do what they are supposed to do. I wasnt planning on keeping the stock front bumper but I picked up a Westin winch plate and by the time I got dome modifying the front bumper for it I figured I'd just put the stubby ends on and keep the lighter stock bumper.

How does the winch plate work?

Its just a metal plate to mount the winch. A friend had it and I bought it for 40.00, but it wasnt made to use with the stock bumper. I had to do a lot of cutting and trimming and since I went that far I figured I would do the end caps and keep the stock bumper. Turned out looking decent but in the end it would have been way easier to buy an aftermarket stubby bumper with a winch mount..

How's that work since it's the same size? How's the end fit over the the the now stubby bumper?

They put cuts and squeeze it on. Some people even heated the plastic to expand it. End caps didn't spontaneous appear. People were doing them before the aftermarket started making them.

They are not the exact same size because the bumper is slightly tapered. If you cut a 3-4" section out, the end piece will fit inside the main part of the bumper.

I originally reused my end caps waiting for the rough country to arrive and I did not like them as they were too small to look right.

either one works or you could rivet them on (I assume you are talking reusing your stock cut off ends).
