Front end D30

I picked up my JKU less than a month ago and the mod bug has been hitting hard. I want to do a 2.5 inch RK max travel lift and run 35's. I have been told I need to re enforcer the front end since its a D30. So my question is what do I need to do before I run the lift and 35's? Just want to make sure I have everything covered before I start.

Nope. You only need to reinforce the Dana 30 if you are going to push it real hard.

Cool I don't plan on pushing it hard. If I want some piece of mind what do I need to look at doing?

Get some c gussets. Thats all youll need. Supports the inner c's from the weight of the 35s. Otherwise theyll bend. Thats all youll truley need. Take a look at synergy c gussets, Its what i run.

i ran 35s on my dana 30 with nothing and wheeled it pretty frequently and sometimes a bit too hard for about a year. i just installed a TeraFlex sleeve and c-gusset kit.... you should be okay if you're not wheeling it - as Jackster said - c's wouldn't hurt... but it's not like you have to have them right away...

just remember if you do wheel.. go slow and don't beat on the front end.

Yup. this is what one of our trail masters said to me. Don't jump it, meaning make sure you come down slow and smooth and no need to rush. it's not a race to the end of the trail. Take your time and enjoy!
