Had a wobble at low speed, about 10 mph. The steering wheel actually shook. After doing the inspection on the "Dignosing Death Wobble" thread I rotated the tires taking a test drive after doing each side. The wobble was gone while doing a test ride after the first tire rotation. I might be a little paranoid but it seems like I get the slightest wobble while making a left turn. Nothing I would ever notice if I wasn't intently looking for one. I did rotate that tire last, it was not the tire that I determined was giving me the problem. On the inspection I did get with a large set of channel locks about 2mm at the most of movement on each side while squeezing the tie rod at the wheel. This must be a ball joint as the tie rod can rotate a little with suspension flex and I assume the slightest movement is normal.
I do have a bad steering damper as oil is leaking out the seal. The seal looks too hard and not pliable enough to stop the oil leak, so I don't think this is a symtom of another issue.
I must have a broken belt in the bad tire, I am going to call the dealer to have it replaced. How dangerous is it to drive with it on the rear for about a week?
