Front Stock Bumper Dent

I got in a small fender-bender with a bollard the other day and my front bumper is dented in pretty bad on the driver's side. The dealership says it's not repairable and quoted me at $500 for a new stock OEM bumper and $250 for labor. Is it just me or does that seem a bit excessive? Are there any suggestions out there from the Jeep community on a better replacement bumper or anywhere to get a cheaper stock bumper?

Thanks in advance fellas!

You should be able to pick up a bumper for cheap. A lot of Jeepers remove them to install a better bumper since the stock ones are junk. Look on CL, eBay, or someone here may have one to give to you.

You can get a stock one for cheap, check Craigslist or local Jeep club. Or upgrade to a better aftermarket bumper for cheaper than a dealer for a stock one.

You could also use it as a good excuse to go aftermarket bumper. I dented mine up at Rausch Creek off road park a couple weeks ago and have this coming in a couple days.

Where is it dented? If it's toward the end, cut it off and make it a stubby.

Maybe you could heat it up a bit and push the dent out? Dunno, just throwing out ideas.

Depending on the dent, a fix I used a few time in the past is to drill a small hole in the center of the dent, place and Allen Wrench (hex key) in the hole and pull the dent out (using vice grips to hold the allen key). You may want to warm the plastic up a bit with a hair dryer if it doesn't pop out easily. You can plug the hold with clear Liquid Nails and take a black sharpie to it.
