Gecko Wrangler Problems!

Im in need of help! i kissed a tree with the right side of my wrangler the other night. I destroyed my right side power/heated mirror, the right side running board, I tore off the right rear fender and tore of the rear bumper, Ive already got a new bumper and side step coming in the mail.

I just need help getting my hands on a Gecko right rear fender, and a Right hand side power/heated mirror for a 2012 jk unlimited.

If anyone has any of those two parts considered "take offs" Or have them for sale I would like to express deep interest in doing business.

The right rear fender must be considered a take off and not a "repaint" and the right side power heated mirror must be functional, no damage. I live in southeast MI and would like to get the parts i need in order to get my jeep together again.

please pm me if you are able or interested in helping me.

You "kissed" a tree? Sounds like you were racing through a forest

the right rear door handle got messed up a little bit, I still need to figure out how to get the carrier panel off so I can get into the door and look at the inner workings of the door handle. there is a slight crease in from where the handle was pushed in but I know someone who can help me with that

the door will open up from the inside handle, but the exterior handle isnt sitting flush to the door anymore, I probably knocked something loose or striped a part of the inner door handle

The carrier panel, you are referring to the panel that supports the window crank and guts of door right?

This part.

Can you order a new one from Jeep? Even if you can't, it wouldn't hurt to stop by the dealer. I'm not sure how they do it, but I work for a large aftermarket parts chain. If a store needs something out of the ordinary, we have an internal email system which allows us to contact every other store in the chain, nation wide.

Ok well Re Sale and Jeep is never used in the same sentence around my house. Jeep is for life.. Cars and trucks will come and go but Jeep will always be there. Semper Paratus.

Ok back to some tech help. Well I have never seen the carrier panel I assume it is pretty much the same just the window motor is held in where the hand crank is on mine. I have removed mine due to having to change out door locks it is a real PITA but with patients it can be done. Basically all the surrounding bolts and the hidden screws. Wiring to in your case, then when you pull it loose there are some Torx head bolts that go from the window channel into the plastic part.

This is the fun part because they got from the inside out. if you look at the little sticker with the bar code pictured above. I think that is them one more straight up above it. you have to dig your arm up inside the door and find it then loosen it that will remove the guide track for the window from the plastic carrier. I would also get some string or zip ties and support the window motor don't need it dangling.

Now the reinstallation of the carrier panel is a real pain as you have to fight the pressure of the guide bar to line up the torx screws with out bending the guide bar. it is not to difficult if can be done just plan on being there a while, if something does not feel right check for more bolts. Best of luck and please take photos you could make a really good how to thread.

Well if you are not dead set on replacing stock look up Metal Cloak or Poison Spyder Customs at some flat fenders. I know you said you want the painted to match back on, don't blame ya but these would be a nice upgrade... Of course then you need at least 35's and a lift. While you are doing that go ahead and re-gear and toss in some lockers. After you have done this your fender problem will be solved.. *L*

x2 on the metal cloak.... If you plan on doing it, why not just do it now and save the future money.

MY opinion

Leave the beauty marks and get new fenders and bumpers. maybe some armor....judging from your definition of "kiss" you will need armor if you ever crash.

Well I got through the carrier panel last night, removed my right rear door handle, just looks like I need a paintless dent remover to pop out a slight crease so the door handle will sit flush again
