Engines are hot. What makes you think you're running too hot?

A lot of of owners have reported that they seem warmer than other vehicles, but it's just the nature of the beast. If your temp gauge isn't creeping toward hot, you're fine.

My '13 gets a little over halfway on the guage here in AZ. When I park the engine bay is insanely hot. I *always* open the hood when I get home for the day. I notice our hoods allow no heat escape, not even through the rear of the hood which is where most vehicles allow heat to escape. It kinda stinks.

I'm considering cutting the inner fenders to allow more heat escape as well as installing louvers/vents on the hood itself.
