Ghost...?

So this weekend I wake up and go down stairs to get somthin out of my jeep (08 jku) and I unlock the door, manually, no pl or pw and I pull the charger for my phone out of the 12v outlet and close the door. All of a sudden horn start blaring, front and back windshield wipers start goin and starts sprayin washer fluid everywhere. I pop the hood and disconnect the battery and all stopped but not before waking the whole hotel. I leave it disconnected to see if it will reset itself but as soon as i put it back on it hits again. Drove to th nearest dealer and when i pull up, nothin! They say they cant fix it cause they dont know what kinds of things it was doing or where to even start. Anyome have this happen? Could it be a bad battery, a short? I checked all of my fuses and relays in the fuse box and all of them are fine. It did it again the day after I went to the dealer. But after i drive around its fine. Any guesses??

Assuming it's the original battery, I believe that would be a likely culprit. I've read of people having similar issues because of a battery that's on it's way out. The JK factory batteries are kind of known for their 3 (years) and out performance.

I hope it is a bad battery... Otherwise it would be a friend of mine who stuck around there, but I'd thought he'd already gone home... He passed away Aug. 31st...

Yea i dont know if its the original battery as I bought it used but it cant hurt to have it tested again and see if it needs to be reolaced. Its a metallic green color.

I have an '08 JK that is Rescue Green (because it has to be the color!) and had a similar problem a few months ago. I was up late playing a couple of video games and my horn just started going full tilt boogie in the garage right around midnight. I ran in the garage and disconnected the horn leads just in time to stop my neighbors from forming a lynch mob to hang and burn me. Since then I have been driving around without a horn... which really sucks living in Los Angeles. Giving people the finger on the Interstate just isn't the same without blaring the horn.

Tell Carol Anne to just step into the light already, or tell her that Linda Blair is still alive and she can live there.

I agree. Since it's an 08 I would replace the battery. I think a majority consensus is that either an Odyssey or Sears Die Hard Platinum is the way to go. In 2013 I'm going with an Odyssey, but the Sears might win out.
