Glideaway Hitch Bike Carrier Reviews?

I posted on an old link I found, but not sure prime will read it. I also have seen this under a couple manufacturer names.

Anyway, anyone have pics or feedback on it? It's much cheaper than the Thule swing away versions, but still looks like it would clear the spare/gate.

I don't think it's going to extend far enough for the gate to open. For the price I'd be more inclined to save a bit more money and spring for the Yakima or Thule rack. I went with a cheap rack for our motorhome, regret it now.

Also etrailer.com has Yakima rebates now, spend $500 get $50 and spend $300 get $30 so that brings their rack prices down, Thule has 20% off.

I found a review where the woman said it fit on her 2011. The old thread I referred too was the same situation.

Even with those discounts, the rack from Thule would be $350 plus shipping or so. Target has the one I'm asking about for $130 with free shipping if I use my red card.

I've got a line on a used twice Thule Vertex for $200, so that might be it. I do prefer the Thule for that price, but for $350 not so much. I'll post the outcome.

Picked up a Thule Vertex Swing. Fits perfectly, is real heavy duty, and allows the rear door to open all the way with the bikes on. There are also swing preventer things, which is often what people don't like about hanging carriers.

Pics attached- let me know if you've any questions.

I have this carrier it works well but if you the hard top on the tailgate won't open enough to open rear glass

If you look closely at the last pic, there is a pin sticking up that keeps the gate from opening all the way. It doesn't have to be that long, so I'll be cutting it down and reattaching the pull handle. At that point, it will open enough for the hard top glass.
