Guys, I signed up for the wrangler brochure (jeep.com) and i'd say a month later I got the booklet in the mail...What I did not get...was the "golden ticket."

I dont think I missed it. Does anyone know what they look like? Picture?

Not all brochures come with a 'golden ticket'. You may just not have gotten one.

In post 1 of the 2015 waiting room I have some information there about the 'golden tickets' that you may find helpful.

Good luck!

Yep Steph, that's it. I didn't even order a brochure, I think I went and test drove a new Jeep for the heck of it, and the dealer has me on file of course for that. A few weeks later we got one in the mail too. It's too bad though, we just aren't buying right now. We thought about trading the 13 in for a 14 because I really liked the granite color - I had hoped billet would be closer to what granite is - but we figured we have done so much with the billet JKU, it would be a shame to start over now.

I got that Golden Ticket in the mail that JKSteph posted.
I used it last weekend when I bought my new JKU
It just came in the mail one day. I never ordered a catalog.
Ive owned previous Jeeps before, so I am presumably just on their marketing list.

I received one that expires on Sept 30. I've waited this long already so I have to wait for a peak at TANK, but as soon as I see it I'll put my order in that day (leaning Anvil, outside shot of Hydro) for a new Willys Unlimited.

This wait is killing me..... I can only imagine once the order is put in.....

From post 1 in the 2015 waiting room:

Go to jeep.com and sign up to receive their marketing materials. Give them your email address and street address. Chrysler hires a marketing firm to do targeted mailings and some of those mailings come with a paper coupon or an emailed coupon for $500 off. Some people refer to those coupons as 'golden tickets', ala Willy Wonka. The coupons are non-transferable, but can be used within the same household (street address), so sign up for yourself, your spouse, kids, anyone living with you with the same last name. It's worth a shot! And if you don't receive a golden ticket by the time your jeep arrives, call the Jeep Incentive Line to see if you've been awarded a coupon that hasn't arrived. Your dealer can still use the coupon, as long as it's registered in their system.

Jeep Incentives at 1-800-227-0757

Also, don't forget to check into the Chrylser Affiliates program through your place of employment or by joining TreadLightly, at the $100 level. They say you must be a member for thirty days before using the discount, but some people haven't had to wait.

Tread Lightly – Individual

(I included the TreadLightly since you need time to join.)

When I bought my 2014 I used the TreadLightly discount in my original negotiations to get down to 5% under invoice. When it was time it pick it up I had a $500 Golden Ticket in the computer that they added to my original discount. So you shouldn't have any problem using a coupon on yours, unless there is some fine print (2014 model only, etc.) that excludes it.

When you might get one is a guess. It all depends on whether or not you get selected by the marketing company. Typically the coupons are good for about ninety days. We got one in June last year that expired September 30 and we got one the year before in November that expired January 31.

I got one today. Makes me laugh. I suppose they are pretty safe sending them out to people who have year old jeeps.

Same thing happened to me, Golden ticket 17 days after I bought my Jeep. I called Jeep Incentives an was told "nothing they could do" My take on it is more like "nothing they wanted to do." Already sold me so why bother. Still love my Jeep...like the company much less.

I'm about to buy a Jeep and I definitely want a Golden Ticket. I called the # to see if one was sent to me and they confirmed "not yet".

I get it. Offering $500 is a "customer acquisition" program. If you're already a customer, they don't need to acquire you as a customer. This is not a "customer reward" program.

Sure - I'll find it ironic if I get a golden ticket after purchase. Will I be upset that they won't retroactively pay me $$? No!!! Because I understand what it is. It's a marketing investment tool used to acquire customers. Period. Nothing wrong with that. Every company on the planet has a customer acquisition program of some sort. Sometimes it's commercials. Sometimes it's glossy handouts. Sometimes it's a 'rebate'. These programs shouldn't be confused with customer reward or recognition programs. Or even customer retention programs.

My 2 cents...

They are usually sent out once a quarter and good for the next quarter. The certificate I got a couple days ago is good through June 30th. Lots of others have gotten them with the same June 30th expiration date.

I ordered my jeep on Feb. 27th and signed up for the promotional materials around the same time. A couple of weeks ago I received a Wrangler brochure in the mail, no ticket though.

I called the Jeep Incentive Line (the number that Starbrite mentioned) earlier this week and they confirmed that I had been awarded one and I should receive it in the mail shortly. They also gave me a reference number that the dealership could use to apply the credit in case my actual ticket didn't arrive for any reason.

I spoke to the Incentive Line on March 31st and they did mention that my ticket would be valid starting the next day (April 1st) and would be good until the end of June, so that backs up what somebody said earlier about the tickets being issued on a quarterly basis. So it may just be a matter of timing between the date you ordered or purchased your jeep, the date you actually go to pick it up, the day you requested the promo materials, the beginning or end of the quarter, Jupiter aligning with Venus etc.

One thing is certain....without having learned about it here I most likely wouldn't have requested the promo materials, and even if I had I definitely wouldn't have known to call and check on it. So thanks again Starbrite!

Just knowing that the ticket is available and how to inquire about it is half the battle.

Moral of the story...as soon as you begin to THINK about shopping for a jeep, get your name in there....the earlier, the better.

I am in the market for a Wrangler, and my dad just got a golden ticket in the mail this week. (Expires June 30)

Question 1: If he moved from the address on the ticket, I am assuming it would still be valid, right?
Question 2: Do they actually check addresses of family transferred to? (I do not live with them anymore)
Question 3: Assuming Q1 is fine, and Q2 would not be able to transfer to me. Are there any stipulations about transferring ownership after purchase with the golden ticket? (Say I hypothetically gift my dad money, he buys the Jeep with the ticket/discount, and he gifts me the Jeep. I would also have to look into tax treatment with this too. Anyone know on MI?)

They know your address when you buy/order your new Wrangler. Such is needed for registration and titling. They'll probably make a copy of your driver's license, and that would have your legal address on it.

They know the address to which they sent the "golden ticket".

The two much match, especially if the name doesn't.

PS: I now have two "golden tickets". You could paypal me the money, and I could buy the new Jeep in my name. :D

Sounds like a ploy to get you to buy a new jeep. I suppose after reading the experience posts, it's good if you can even get it to work, but they send them to people who already just bought one. What's the equate out to? One less monthly payment? Business men at its best.. If only the wrangler consumers were the salesmen no one would have problems being lied to. OH, I was looking at the picture for the ticket, it says for grand Cherokee..?

I signed up for the chrysler 300, charger, challenger, and jeep brochures but did not get a golden ticket. I called the incentives line. Ordering "certain" brochures depending on the models gets your name put on a list and it is a lottery style list they pick names at random.

I am speculating that certain low sales number vehicles, will trigger putting your name on the list vs wranglers. Wranglers sell themselves and are inexpensive, but chrysler 200's or 300's nobody cares about :p so when you inquire they hurriedly put you on the list.
