Good CL price for a 2013 premium soft top?

I've been trolling Craig's List for about two month's looking for a soft top for my 2012 wrangler unlimited. So far no luck (I've even gone to get one once only to find out it was not as promised and did not include door surrounds)

What would a good price be on the new 2013 premium top if it was unused? Last guy I talked to about an unused premium top was asking $1300 and I let that one go. Don't know if he has sold it yet, but too much $ if you ask me.

I sold mine through the forum for $1300 and I think it was a fair price.......I was patient, I passed on a lot of low ball offers. Dealer sells it for $2k+

i'd say that is a little low OR....a VERY good price.

I got one for my 2 door for $700 and i JUMPED on it... Drove 200 miles round trip , to pick it up

I'd say if you get it for $1000 or less you're doing well

$1,200 seems the norm...

UPDATE: i just checked your profile, you got your work cut out for you...probably gonna be pretty hard to find someone that DOESN'T want their soft top in TEXAS...

Thanks for the info. One happened to pop up in the boxes about an hour south of me, so I'm working on the deal now. Hopefully I'm the proud owner of a soft top by tonight, you never know though with craigs list.

Damn....I traded a new-in-box Trektop NX for a new-in-box premium top. I even threw in a $100 as well (becuase I only paid $557 for the Trektop NX). I didn't know the premium tops were going for +$1000 As far as good deals go, I see the regular tops going for about $600 CL from time to time. I was to lazy to go a new-in-box 2012 top for $550 a few months agao.

Just Picked it up!!!! Still in the boxes. Paid $700. Apparently that's a great deal. The other top I was dealing on was a 2012 and his bottom price was $600. I had budgeted $500 to find a slightly used factory soft top. Hopefully I won't get in too much trouble with my wife for going over budget.

Tried the bikini route first, but one trip out and I knew it wasn't for me. Hopefully this soft top is the right ticket.

- great price!

I had also set an original budget of $500, but had a bit of trouble finding "new-in-box" tops at that price this time of year. I did find a 2012 for $550, but got lazy.

I spent $557 on a new Trektop NX, but never took it out of the box. I also knew it wasn't for me that minute I clicked "buy" on my computer.

For the 4 door, an OEM softop and a spiderweb or dirtydog shade seems to be the way to go.

awesome. I'm not sure if your jeep is flame red or rock lobster, but i would say it would look awesome on flame red bcuz the premium is only offered for the 2013.

Mines a 2012 flame red. Which personally I like much better than rock lobster. I'll post a pic once I swap out the tops.

Good deal on a premium top. Make sure you get the roll bar brackets too, they're different for the 2013 because of the lift assist mechanism.

I bought a 2013 premium soft top from someone who had bought a rubicon (dual top) and didn't want the soft top. Settled on $861 and thought it was a fair deal for the both of us.

I will say I was really happy to find one for a good price. I really wanted the top with the new cloth-type fabric and there just doesn't seem to be many out there.

I haven't seen 2013 premium soft top in local CL yet, and 2012 is rare, though I didn't search that often. I guess it will take a year or 2 for it sitting in the garage before more people selling it on CL.

What is the "premium" top that everyone mentions? I have a 2012 Rubicon 2 door and I'm currently looking for a soft top. I definitely want new in boxes and finding only a few on craigslist. Currently waiting to hear back from a guy with a NIB soft top from a 2011 Sahara, he's asking $850. Any feedback is much appreciated

Hey shout out to JERSEY !!

First off $850 is high for a second hand standard 2 door top...even if it is never used.

anyway the "premium" soft top is a new upgraded top that they started offering a while ago (2012 i think??) i has a 3 layer fabric that is heavier then the standard soft top.. and the material is more of a real fabric. Honestly it looks like something you'd see on a BMW..and it's very BLACK... it doesn't reflect sunlight and look shiney like the standard material..First time i saw one i couldn't believe it was a Jeep top...it's that nice .
If you get it from the factory new it is a $400 upgrade over the stock soft top OR if you get the DUAL TOP group for $2,000 it comes as part of that package.. so basically an additional $1,200 over the hard top option..
BESTOP sells it as their "TWILL" material... i believe an aftermarket on from them is about $1,300 for the 2 door $1,500 for the 4 door and i think if you buy a "Premium" soft top from MOPAR its in the neighborhood of $2,000
so you can see why these deals these guys are finding are SWEET..
I found one on CL...guy bought a 2013Sahara off the lot with dual tops had no interest in the soft top.. i got it for $700 new in boxes..had to drive out past Reading PA to get it.... but for that price !

Got my new soft top on late this afternoon. Here's one pic...

It really wasn't too hard to swap from the hard top to this one. Hardest part was getting it to stretch out enough to latch everything down. Hopefully it'll stretch out a bit.

A couple of notes:

- I definitely like the look of this better than the older soft tops.
- it's definitely louder than the hardtop, especially at 60+; but not unbearable
- it's really dark in my black leather interior with the black interior of the top.
- it's so awesome to have a vehicle that can be transformed in so many different ways. I love having a colored hardtop and now this premium soft top.

You, sir, got a heck of a bargain.

I just reinstalled my 2011 'standard' soft top yesterday, and am jealous every time I see a '13 JKU roll by with the premium one.

Check with Bestop... as far as i know their "Twill" material is essentially the same as the Premium top. I know they sell window sets, gotta be cheaper then the dealer.
I'd say at $450...even if you gotta pay $200 for windows you're gettting a good deal..
Funny, that its brand new, but with windows missing. I have read about this though, there is a whole thread about guys missing windows...shame of it is they don't realize it till months later when they go to mount the top and it turns into a pissing match with the dealer.....

If the windows are missing, I would see if the other parts from the boxes are missing too. If the box with door surrounds and tailgate bar clips is not there, it's going to get a lot more expensive, and might be with passing on.

Well, this will be interesting. I am selling a premium hard top with all the hardware. It came new on my 2014 Rubicon X and I just put the hard top on so it was on there for about 1,500 miles. I am asking $ 1,200 for top and hardware.

I am thinking about getting a Trektop so I am possibly looking into selling my Premium top off my 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited(4 door). I have about 9000miles on Jeep put I keep it in a garage so the top is in perfect condition. So I was wondering what would be a good price to list it on CL?
