Hi, I'm looking to buy a rubi suspension for my sport and I found a pretty solid deal. I'm a total jeep noob and I was wondering if this is everything I need? I'm only looking for a slight inexpensive lift for now while I save for tires and a lift
The only difference is the shocks and MAYBE the coils. Please compare the numbers on the coils. If they are the same (last 2 numbers) theres no difference. Dont bother with all the other stuff its no different than whats on your sport.
+1 to this. i did the spring and shock swap on my 2010 2 door. the only item i added and some will tell you wasnt needed was the longer sway bar link for the rear from Teraflex and i moved the stock rear link to the front.
If you want a mild lift, just grab some leveling springs from Teraflex and install the Rubi shocks. Otherwise you will not get much of a lift unless you get the 2013 10th Anniversary Rubicon springs which are definitely different.
I'm only wondering because that whole set up costs >$50
Any good recommendations on the teraflex springs? I was looking at 2.5 inch lifts earlier but can't seem to find any >$300 and I'd rather not settle for a budget boost type lift
For road use I prefer the non-Rubi shocks, just saying. Smoother and more stable on pavement. Higher number springs will give you some lift and can be used with either shock.
You want Rubicon springs ending in 19 for the front and 60 for the rears and rubicon red shocks to get the most lift from factory equipment. I sold mine for $250
The shocks are well worth the $50. If the springs came off a 4 door you can prolly use them. I would also keep the sway bar links. You can extend them. For $50 go ahead and grab it. Then get the numbers off your springs and the numbers off the rubi springs
