Chrsyler reported October sales results today and Jeep was it's leader:
Sales of the company’s Jeep brand increased 111% for the month as sales of its flagship Jeep Grand Cherokee surged 291%.
“Our new Jeep Grand Cherokee created a consumer buzz that generated showroom traffic and sales,” said Fred Diaz, Chrysler’s president and CEO, in a statement.
Chrysler, more than any other automaker, has struggled to break out of the recession and the worst industry sales decline in decades because wasn’t launching many new products. Now, the company has other new products on the horizon, including the Fiat 500, which is expected to reach some showrooms in December.“Jeep hasn’t sold this many Grand Cherokees since December of 2006,” Edmunds.com analyst Ivan Drury said in a report today. “If the Grand Cherokee is any indication of future Chrysler products, there is cause for optimism.”
