Good shops in DFW

Does anyone know of a good shop in DFW that can do a 2.5" lift on a 2011 JK?

Check a place in Haltom City. Called Jeep Parts. They are a salvage yard but build Jeeps and custom work also. Haven't had any work done there, but have seen their work and pretty good stuff. They are on Facebook if you want to look.

Collins brothers Jeep

I don't have my jeep yet, in kz status, but I have been there a couple times with a friend. They have their own salvage yard so they have a ton of parts. They also do a lot of custom builds. I have seen their jk8 in person and it is top notch. There is also a 4 door version of the jk8 they make. If I need any work done on my jeep that I can't do in my garage I will be taking it to them. They are a little pricey though, I believe their shop rate is $95 but don't quote me on that. Also if you look at the jeeps they have for sale, some of the prices are outrageous. But ever time I have been there they have been really nice, so they will be earning my business.

Like I said though, I have not received my jeep nor have I had Collin Bros work on any of my vehicles mainly because this will be my first jeep.

Also if you watch fast and loud, Dennis is the owner of Collins Brothers Jeep.

Here is their website http://www.collinsbrosjeep.com/main.htm

I checked around a lot of shops before I decided to install my lift myself, and Tribe was the best quote I received. I've heard nothing but good things about them as well

I had a lot of luck with the 4 wheel parts in Fort Worth when I lived down there. If you go in knowing what you want to buy instead of asking them what to get, they won't push sell you too much on anything. They just stock more Pro Comp and Rubicon Express (their store brands) than they do most everything else so buying something else may involve getting it shipped from a warehouse that adds a couple of days to the process.

Once they get the parts in the store the tech can knock out a 2.5" lift in a day.

Though if you're even remotely capable of doing it yourself, a 2.5" kit is a walk in the park on a JK.

I was looking to have some work done on mine, and I started asking questions at the 4 Wheel Parts in Coppell. The guy I talked to couldn't answer my questions very well, and came across in general like he didn't know what he was talking about. I know it's just one guy, but overall it was a turnoff. Also, their quote seemed kind of high.

Anyway, I was told that BaerTrax (Baertrax) was good, so I gave them a call. The guy I talked to there really knew his stuff. I was impressed and his quote was also better than 4 Wheel Parts. I'm planning on having my work done there (since I can't weld). I definitely think you should check them out.

Not too impressed with the one in coppell either. I was looking for prices on tires/wheels and they said just get the 315's they don't rub and you won't bottom out. I said yeah they do if you're going on trails and off-road. He then says to me" oh I just thought you were going to stay in the city, you sound like that's what you were going to do". I just said how the f*** you figure? You never asked me where I'm going with the jeep. Conversation kinda got quiet after that.
So next time let's ask the customer what his needs are and then give suggestions based on that instead of tires/wheels get you out the door about $2400.
