6.5" for soundbar and dash. I have infinity reference that I really like but prefer Polk over kicker any day.

Like said above, go with the 77kick10. Direct plug and play for both front and rear speakers. You can get them from AllUSA Motorsports for $65.00. Some have had luck with getting Quadratec to price match and give free shipping as well.

I have the Kicker's installed in my sound bar. They are much better than the stock speakers but it's still a Jeep so I am not trying to beef up the sound system too much. Just wanted something without paper in them for the cone.

If you don't go with Kicker, I recommend Polk Audio marine speakers. They come in a lot of different sizes, are shallow to install and sound great. They're made to be out in the weather and in harsh conditions so they're perfect for the Jeep. I have 4x6 Polks in my dash right now and about to install 6x9 Polks in some Tuffy storage boxes.

I used the Rockford Fosgate Punch 6.5" speakers in my roll bar and dash.
Sound great and you can't blow them.

I plan on replacing my dash speakers before too long, just haven't gotten around to it. Has anyone put in Mopar's Kicker dash speakers? I already have new sound bar and tweeters and are happy with them so I assume these will also perform well, but haven't heard anything specific about them.

For those that installed the kickers in the sound bar, was the connection straightforward requiring nothing but snap-in?

Whatever you put in there (I went with Memphis speakers all around myself), stuff some polyfill in the soundbar first!! It will improve the sound quality. Same goes for the dash pods.

K here's the deal. I have 100 bucks to best buy. Anyone know of good speakers I can get there? And where can I get polyfill? And do I just stuff it in there?

Depends. $100 for one set, or both sets (front and rear)? I'd go with these for both sets: Pioneer - 6-1/2" 2-Way Car Speakers with Composite IMPP Woofer Cones (Pair) - TS-G1644R
Or these for one set:
Alpine - 6-1/2" 2-Way Coaxial Car Speakers with Poly-Mica Cones (Pair) - SPS-610

Keep in mind that the factory head unit is the biggest problem with the factory system. It does not provide equal power to the rear speakers, so even after you upgrade, they're not going to be as loud as the fronts. It also doesn't do a great job pushing decent aftermarket speakers, and you may get some bass distortion. Underpowering your speakers is worse than overpowering them a little, so don't crank it up too loud with the stock head unit.
The only direct fit speakers for the JK are the Kickers, everything else will require some adapters or a little creativity.

You can get polyfill at pretty much any craft store (AC Moore, Michael's, Jo Ann Fabrics). Just stuff it in the holes before putting the speakers in. Put enough in there so it pushes back against the speakers just a little when they're in position.

Do you need some kind of wiring adapter for aftermarket speakers? NM, saw your post sinister.

Also crutchfield and BB both say those pioneer speakers don't fit the '11 or '12.

For the soundbar kickers they give you all the mounting hardware and the connection is just a direct plug and play. Super easy, my 1 year old daughter could figure it out. The only tool you will need is a phillips head screwdriver.

I only have a X so when I say stock I mean the speakers which are made of paper, not the infinity upgrade you can get.

I would think that would be up to you and if you are happy with the performance of you infinity speakers or not. I don't think I've been in a JK with an infinity system so I can't attest to the ability of the speakers.

Fyi I put Pioneers in all the factory holes and hung a 10" sub on the tailgate with 2 amps and a Kenwood nav system and it sounds great

Polk Audio 6.5 in the soundbars "woke up" my audio in the Jeep. I was very impressed. Unsure of the model, but i found them at best buy, they fit perfectly with no modification in the soundbar. And they are marine certified.

Unless the speakers are different in the 11 and 12, ANY 6.5 speaker will fit, you just need adapters.

Plenty of room for 6 1/2 components in there. Just have to drill a hole to flush mount the tweeters. Agree to poly recommendation above. Stores like best buy are hit or miss. One store in the Chicago area has some good stuff but the rest don't. Polk, alpine type r, or even kenwood excelon components if you can find them are ok at BB. Most come with the adapters so you can screw in the 6 1/2. Open the box and see if they come with some weird looking plate with tabs that could break off to fit your speaker opening. Or just order from crutchfield.com. Any components at or above the $150 price range should make you smile much more than even stock infinity. Please please please just don't buy Sony speakers. Waste of money even on their "higher end" garbage.

Or a power drill. Mine said they didn't fit mainly because of the spacing for the mounting holes.

Went with the db 651s in mine, and wow what a difference.
Crutchfield has them for the same price as the Kickers go for elsewhere, complete with mounting/wiring kit.
I went with the factory grills for stealthing.
