Goodyear MTR's and Mickey Thompson Classic II's

Sitting at the shop while they install my new 33" Goodyear MTR's and 17" Mickey Thompson Classic II's. I've been waiting since Monday and it feels like Christmas morning!

Pics coming as soon as it rolls out...

Great tire they don't sidewall cut in the sharp rocks so easy. Ya have to love the idea of a tire made with the same stuff as a bulletproof vest.

I have 35's on 16 inch rims with a silver JKU. These look better on I must say. Check my avatar.

And congrats on the tire combo.

Your avatar is pretty small but it looks good. I looked at several different packages and kept coming back to the Classic II's. My dad used to run the same style but American Racing on EVERY Chevy truck he owned so in a way, I'm keeping up the tradition.

I wasn't planning on MTR's but I found a guy that bought them new And immediately wanted 35's so I got a great deal.

I understand a good deal. I got this package for $1100 with only 3k miles on them.

Just sold my stock rims/tires to fund the lift! I'm leaning toward the AEV 2.5 kit.

I'm on the fence at this point but I like what I'm hearing about the AEV and since my Jeep has 33,000mi on it, I like all thats included with the kit.

I like my MT/r, don't like the weight that much but they are awesome on the trails. They do pretty good in the snow, when new they are pretty quiet on the road but they do get a little more noise with age. not bad but louder none the less. They hate gravel though. They get a little jumpy on gravel and dig into them. They handle well on wet surfaces but can break lose if you gun it. I have 14K on mine now and they are finally trying to wear down. Seems like they stayed almost new for most of the time and all of a sudden started eating tread. About half life now. Still a great trail tire no matter what.

Thanks for the review! I haven't had a chance to really test them yet. I have noticed the increase in road noise but I expected that.
