Gotta love a wife's support

So took my wife to dinner last night. We ended up taking my Rubi instead of her Sahara. As usual she had a harder time getting in mine than she does hers (by the way she loves her Jeep). She tells me I should buy the steps like hers. I explain/show her the rock rails on mine and she says she understands. We got home and and I show her the ACE Rock Slider that will work with what is on there and can double as a step.

Her response, "buy-em...". Same thing she told about my Jeep in the first place. I am one lucky man, she never tells me much about getting anything to support my toys/hobbies/addictions

Soon I will place an order for some rock sliders, among other things

wile_coyote,
I hate tell you but my wife is better than your's. Conversation went like this:
Me: Babe, I've narrowed my next vehicle down to two choices, 2012 Wrangler and 2012 Camry.
Her: Okay. Which one do you want?
Me: Want or need?
Her: Want.
Me: Well, the Camry gets 34 mpg, Toyota reliability, Sedan for safe passage of the baby, blah, blah, blah.
Her: Ahhh, I said want.
Me: 2012 Wrangler Unlimited
Her: Get what you want, you've earned it.

Yeah, she's the awesomest!

Hahahahahahahahaha, we are both lucky. Got my 911 last year a few months before i got her the '12 Sahara. Took the Sahara in to the dealer for an oil change. Came home driving the Rubi that is mine now. Told her the dealer worked me a pretty good deal with my TJ as a trade in. She told me, "If that is what you want you should get. You have not had a brand new car for a long time, you always make sure me and our daughter have everything we want or need even if you have to put off what you want and you work all the time and make way more than enough to afford it..."

Think both you and I lucked out with the women that ended up in our lives.

Speaking of which, I am going to take her out tonight and do whatever she wants, since it is just her and I (daughter is sleeping over at a friends house).

yall sound like me and my hubby!!! Gotta love some supportive spouses! I never say no when he says he wants to buy something. Its his money (we have seperate accounts) but if one another need something the other pitches in. I dont stop him from hunting Heck I get up and go too!!! All of my married friends dont understand how I dont say something about him spending money on stuff. For instance we are at the Bass Pro Shop with 2 other couples and the girls wanted to go walk around the mall, apparently while we in the mall the 2 other guys buy a duck call and open it up and stick it in their pockets so their wives dont find out. My hubby puts 2 deer archery targets in the buggy and we go to leave the other wives are like you are going to let hime spend that money? I was like yes why not? Well anyway you get the picture! I consider myself lucky to have such a wonderful hubby!

My BF is buying me new tires and wheels for my brand new Jeep. I told him since I have more horsepower than his Jeep that I wanted bigger tires then his too. He told me to just remember this when he gets his HEMI Wrangler (if they ever come out with one). You gotta love a man who can handle his GF having a bigger and faster Jeep than him.

Well my wife wanted/needed a new (or newer) car. She had mentioned Subarus, BMW's and such, but said she wanted something bigger she sat higher/better in. I said why don't you check out a Jeep, I love mine (had my TJ at the time). She didn't want to because mine didn't have the luxuries, which was the only thing she didn't like. She like the height. the way it drove, the 4x4...

I told her to humor me and took her down to the dealership and showed her a Sahara. She dug on it immediately. Decided to order her Sahara with whatever she wanted in the color she wanted (of course I got my my little changes in 3.73's etc....). It came in and she has loved it ever since....

Nice to hear others have spouses similar to mine. The rails are kinda for her, she knows they are for me, as will be most of the other stuff that ends up on my Rubi. But she also know if she wants just about anything for her(s) she will get it. We don't compete a lot because we like different things, we just like to see the other happy.

Lucky men around here and some women too. My hubby and I support each other though he was getting a little jealous of my Jeep so I told him go get his dream. He's always wanted a yellow crotch rocket ( his choice : ) and was looking at a 600 He's 6'2 & 250 I told him better make 750 or bigger but being he's NEVER ridden a bike we decided the 750 was big enough and he signed the papers Friday and is patiently waiting for his to get here cause all they had was blue & white. Oh yea he was the one who got my wheels and tires for Jeep

Savora, tell him to enjoy it but be careful. I want another street bike so bad I can taste it. It is the one thing my wife doesn't want me to get.

2 yrs ago, a guy in a truck pulled out in front of me to do a left hand turn. I was going 6 MPH below the speed limit and was 19 MPH below the speed limit by braking to avoid the accident. I hit the back of the truck and went over the bed. I ended up with over a month and a half in the hospital, 3 days on a respirator a week and a half in ICU. Broke both arms/wrists instantly, right femur and separated pelvis. I now have 3 stainless steel plates, 19 stainless steel screws, 1 stainless steel pin, 1 titanium rod, 2 titanium screws and to big pieces of polyester mesh in me. No feeling in 3 fingers (median nerve destroyed) and I can feel every weather front that goes through (so still on meds).

I was wearing a lot of riding gear and my helmet saved me. This was all from an impact at a final speed of 29 MPH. I had ridden street bikes for 26 years and never had an accident. The pictures of the damage are crazy and all my scars are a trip, kinda feel like Frankenstein. The guy that pulled out in front of me was only 27, had no license since it was revoked from a second DUI offense, no insurance, nothing.

Just tell you husband to be careful and wear his gear. BTW I like his tastes, I was riding a yellow Honda CBR F4i when all that happened.

I was in a horrible accident on a bike back in 86, drunk driver took out my leg and I was left with only one working bone they never did fix the other one so it's permanently broken oh well this one holds up just fine I made sure all our ducks were in a row before he signed the papers, I'm nervous but sometimes you gotta just live. Hopefully he will be careful now that he's a bit older but we shall see.

Congrads to all (both sexes) where it is working.
My experience is that when it works, it is the best thing on earth.
In my case thought was marrying the best (even got married by a waterfall in Hawaii and honeymooned in Tahiti). Expensive for a poor boy.
However it changed after marriage (both of our faults).
So congrads again to all who got it to work !!!

I used to have a custom f150 on steroids with big motor and nitrous... Mine said " this truck is about ready to hit the bucket. I thinnk you'd be saving money if you got something newer. I said lets go look at jeeps... She says ok.

Later that night we were on the way home with a 2011 JK. On the way home she say a JK just like mine that was lifted and it had a banner on the wondshield that said..."She looks better with the top off." She said oooo I like that. I asked which part, the lift with 33's or the banner? Her response was YES.

Now when we see a lifted JK she asks how high is that and id that the one I want? I wanted to go Wheelin but didnt want to due to how new it was and she said, 'Isnt that one of the reason you got it for? Its gonna get scratched eventually anyways. You should go!"

Im just sayin... Iif we werent buying a house, it would have a 2.5 lift with 33's and more but that can wait.

WE are ALL very lucky. They are all keepers for us jeepers.

My wife just bought me new wheels and tires for my Sahara as an early fathers day present. She got me the Hot Heads and a winch for Christmas last year.

I also want to know.
My girlfriend drives an H2, lotus elise, ford f150, fj cruiser, land cruiser, camero, Denali... Etc. Her father's vehicles but still, she doesn't like jeeps...
Still love her though.

I don't know. I fell in love with the Wrangler when I was 16. Always wanted on but could never justify dropping money on one (I didn't want used) or my husband won't let me have one (he didn't think they were safe). Now at the age of 27 (ok...37..shut up...no judging) and not married anymore I finally got one. I'm one happy girl. I didn't know that the BF had a Wrangler when I agreed to go out on a date with him 7 years ago (I normally drove since I don't drink). It was just a bonus that he owned my favorite vehicle.
