Are any of them any better than the others? They all seem to be a similar design, just different prices. I turned up a bunch of posts with people saying they installed "X" brand of them, but not really any reviews.
It's just a little curved notch you have to grind or file down about 3/8" where it makes contact with the upper part of the grab handle. It won't be visible, and it won't cause any leaks.
I don't have a picture of the door surrounds, but here's a picture of the grab handles on my Jeep. You see how the top part of the grab handle protrudes out a bit. That's where it makes contact with the door surrounds.
These Quadratec handles were my first mod after I bought the jeep. They were low cost, comfortable and push up close to the rollbar when you want to. I don't use them much since I got my sliders but may use them more after I install my lift next weekend.
I have Off Road Trail Tools grab handles. I like the full size and like how the handle sits up against the roll bar which keeps it out of my field of view and keeps me from scraping my head on it when getting i the Jeep.
per daggo's suggestion, I went with the Rainglers. I use the driver side everyday to get into my Jeep. Supports my weight and hasn't shifted or come off.
I was thinking of ordering a set of the Mastercraft. I thought when they were referring to 2" or 3" they meant the size of the handle. Apparently it's the size of the roll bar.
Did you have to take the top off to get them on? I was just trying to install mine during lunch and couldn't get them on.
It's pouring rain, otherwise would have tried taking the top off to do it.
