Insulated headliners are back ordered, 12 ahead of me here in Edmond OK, FYI the colored mirror caps are export only not for US, was going to get the winter chill for the wife's Arctic but guess not.

Only Jeep could advertise headliners, but not have them.

Why would I order these? What is the point? Does it quiet down the vehicle or make heating/cooling more efficient or is this one of those "just looks cool" types of things?

Just curious as to what benefit I would get from these...

Yup, reduces road noise and helps insulate for both hot and cold. Plus it will help with the acoustics for the sound system.

I'd like to go Mopar since they cover the sides and are removable for only $200...but I may end up with Boom mat.....or maybe Hotheads.....but I'm leaning Boom mat. I don't know... I hear a lot of good things about Hotheads....plus they come in brown to match the saddle interior.

Couldn't you achieve the same for cheaper by just buying some Dyna-Mat or something?

Not sure how well Dyna-Mat insulates....but basically...yeah. Some people to make their own headliners. I looked into it myself.

No one has seen the Mopar versions, but the Boommat and Hotheads have a very nice finish. If you make them yourself, you don't want them to sag or have wrinkles if you try to put a fabric cover over them.

I think the Hotheads can be installed without removing the top. That is a big bonus as well.

They do look nice. I'd like to see a pair in person. It would be a real pain in the ass to have to remove a top to install them.

I'm waiting to know they're in stock. Seems Mopar is really dropping the ball being it's Christmas time. I would have these on my short list for sure.

Yeah, Chrysler/Jeep really blew it. Offer an "in demand" product at a great price, but don't actually have said product to offer.

Bump- Has anyone received these yet? The best indicator I saw in an earlier post was 45 day backlog and that may have been a WAG.

No offense intended but doesn't that stuff stink? I'm talking way after its cured, not the initial off gassing odor. Reason I ask is because Linex bed liner smells like a frickin ashtray. I could not machine that smell in the inside of my jeep (my dog stinks enough. Lol

You could do both. I had mine painted so I wouldn't have white parts showing once the got heads go in. Black paint inside the hard top looks sick just by itself too

I wonder if Rugged Ridge makes them for Chrysler? I know they make other parts in the accessory catalog like the front bumper light bar. And they have their own insulation kit available: #12109.01

Heard anything from your 11/19 order? I may have to go ahead and bit the bullet on some Hotheads or Boom mats.

I went to the dealership to check the status and they were going to call mopar and order like 5 sets to expedite to delivery . It's BS that they would announce a new product before having them close to being available.
Any one received theirs??????
