Greetings! I just brought home my 2014 JK Unlimited Sahara edition, and I love it! This is my second Jeep . . I had a Wrangler Sahara back in 2000 briefly, and I've missed Jeepdom since!
So, this morning, I cranked up the Jeep for a family ride to go get lunch, and the check engine light was on, and I was getting a system tone. The ride was really sluggish with a lot of vibration in the gear shift. I drove it home immediately, and we took my wife's car.
When I got back, I checked the gas cap . . removed it and put it back on securely and let it click a couple of times. The Jeep has since performed just fine, but the check engine light is still on, and I can't get the Jeep to show me I'm in "ECO" mode, regardless of the RPM of the vehicle.
I *think* the issue is that when the sales guy filled up the car yesterday, he didn't secure the gas cap properly, and I proceeded to put 80 miles on it without a good seal going to the tank. I've seen this before with other vehicles, and I've seen the check engine light take quite a few miles to finally go away. Still, I'm concerned that nothing I do will show the ECO indicator . . so I'm wondering if there might be something else.
Have you guys seen this kind of thing before? I'm otherwise really loving the Jeep . . have about 150 miles on it, and I've enjoyed each one.
