Half-cab 2014 Wranglers?

I was at my dealer for warranty work.

When i pulled in, i noticed this unique White JK on prominent display, the spot they were displaying the Moab edition in when I bought my JK a year ago. As i drove past it, i noticed why. It appears to be the length of a JK-U, with no rear doors, and a half-cab!

Looks very much like the jeep in this article.

Except aside from the top and door changes, it apepars to be a stock JK or JKU.

Anyone have any info on this? Is this some custom kludge that my dealer has throw together? Or some conversion they've gotten their hands on?

Im thinking of going back and getting a closer look at it. Its pretty neat.

Jeep JK8 conversion. Old news. It's a MOPAR conversion kit, takes the butt of a JKU and turns it into a short bed pickup; removes the roll cage and changes out the body panels. Too expensive by most folks' standards.

Ok, i figured it was mopar, since i couldnt imagine the dealer selling it as new if it wasnt.

Thanks!

JK8 eh? Funny, they didnt call the TJ Unlimited a TJ-8, even though the CJ-8 was exactly what it mimicked, but this thing is a JK8.

A few dealers in my area have or have had them... Usually range from $50,000- $65,000, not sure if they actually sell any at that price though... Hard to justify when a loaded cummins can be had for the same price

Saw something like this at an auto show recently. With all the upgrades including V8 HEMI and lengthened frame, the total price was $110-120K.

That looks like the aev brute. Totally different animal. They've been doing wrangler truck conversions for years.
