Halo Lights Jeep JK

What are your thoughts on Halo lights? I just ordered mine today and I can't wait for them to get here! The blue JK is Chief_Airborne's. I personally REALLY like them.

I really like them. I just hope for the $$ that they focus on light output and pattern as much as style. Def let us know when you get em in!

I saw a JK driving down I-5 outside Tacoma with a set of those. They look awesome.

I love the halos and was really torn between those or the jw speakers. Obviously I went with the LEDs and while I'm very happy with them, I still wonder "what if". I just didn't like the idea of cracking open factory headlights to install them and wanting to get better bulbs than the factory halogens as well as wanting to smoke the headlights for a better look. It just became a little to complex for me. Can't wait to see more pics here tho.

Are you adding them to the stock lamps or did you get the HID projector kit with Halos?

Many on the forum object to them but they make great DRLs.

They only look good when you're also running HID Projectors, otherwise they just look out of place.

I recently just bought a wrangler and have been researching the same thing. I'm looking for an halo around the outside with a HID projector in the center without a ring around it. Let me know what you end up going with. I have been doing a lot of reading about the jw and truck lite's but looking for something different

If your doing the install yourself watch the youTube video. They look great.

*** In the video they are using aftermarket assemblies. When you bake your assemblies make sure you add +35 degrees to what they recommend and do it for about 40 mins.

I followed the youTube video and no way was that enought time for the FACTORY assemblies to come apart easily.

Also DO NOT fill up the channel with silicone when resealing you'll seep over the edge and destroy the halo rings. Just fill the channel to about 25% max of the channel height with silicone, it will look like its not enuff but it is.

hidprojectos.com has them but they will cost about $700 to $800 for that look. I think you can get single color halo rings for about $180. I wish i had the loot to get the HID ones but thats a pipe dream right now.

Personal taste is just that, "personal". If you like them get them. I saw one JK in my area with them and I don't think they looked bad. Not for me but that's personal taste. If you ask a question like that on a forum you're going to get anywhere from great to they suck. Get what "you" like, it's your $.

I forgot to mention be SUPER careful with the area where the wire attaches to the back of the halo ring...I personally put a Dab of gorilla glue and let it dry 24hrs where the wire attaches to the ring. It's worth the 24hr delay in install time. The first set i ordered, the wire came apart from the ring after the install and i had to take everything back apart BIG PITA!

Thanks for the advice. I'll just see when they get here because they might have changed the design since then. But who knows.

Since the original post was 'what are your thoughts on halo lights?' I think it's entirely appropriate to saw whether you do or do not like them. Personally, I think they look great on BMWs but silly on a Jeep.

How does everyone feel about angel eyes, devil eyes, colored interior lighting, maybe even oversized turn signals and side markers?

This brings a whole new meaning to "Tread Lightly".

Huh, never seen these on a Jeep.

Do the LED rings, or halo portion of the lights tie into your running lights or they on a stand alone relayed circuit?

Sorry if it's a stupid question.
I've only seen these type of lights on BMW's where they come on automatically with day time running lights.
