Are they not offered or are they just not standard? Most companies show them on their promotionary pictures and displays yet you go to order them they are usually an additional cost option.

Maybe Hansen is just not showing them on their display models.

Just a thought as I am not running a Hansen bumper. You may have to call and ask for a definitive answer.

Another reason they may decide not to have "D" ring attachment points is the use of thinner materials to keep weight to a minimum. In this instance you would just need to have a receiver style recovery point.

A friend has a bumper on his CJ7 that stated right on it that the "D" ring attachment points "are not for recovery".

Mike.

Hanson has an astrix beside the 07-12 part number and it says not equipt with shakle tabs in the quadratec magazine. Wth would you use the shackles for if not recovery?

Exactly! That is what I asked my buddy when he showed me his new bumper/tire carrier and it stated "Not for recovery".

If you are going to build a bumper, make it withstand some stress rather than just for looks.
