Harbor Freight has reached a settlement to provide a refund of up to "30%" of the "Amount Saved" for the past several years (assuming you kept receipt). Knowing that many of us here have Harbor Freight tools - thought I would share.
This is just another BS class action suit from a bunch of lawyers. Their main complaint was that their sale items were on sale too often to be considered "on sale". And if you don't have your receipts you can sign up for some $10 or so gift card. Guess where all that money they get will go? To the lawyers! At the expense of higher prices we all get to pay.
You can participate without receipts too, the amounts awarded are smaller. If you can show your CC statement with the charge, you are eligible. I think it was a 10% cash or 12% Harbor Freight gift card if I am correct.
10% off of 8.99. What a savings. HF is so cheap as is. Not to concerned about it. But if the result of this class action raises prices then I'll be pissed. Love HF.
Interesting to know. I only did online orders and none of the email receipts I received have a "you saved" line. Adding up just the purchases if I did the statement option it would only give me $14. Not worth the time and effort for me personally.
HF is cheap enough, let them keep the money. I need them to stick around for future one time use tools...
