Hi everybody.
Quick question. Bought a used '12 JKU a couple of weeks ago, and it came with both a hard top and a soft top.
Got home, took the hard top off, and have been enjoying the soft top quite a lot.
Problem is, I know colder weather is coming up here in the Great White North, and I have to put that hard top back on soon.
And here's the rub. I have no hardware for the hard top.
( I bought the JKU from a second-hand dealership, and they purchased the hard top used in order to make my Jeep more attractive to buyers up her....hard top is in great shape, just nothing to bolt it down)
I went to the local Chrysler dealership, and they quoted me $9 Cdn per screw and $8.50 for the nuts!!!!!!
Over $100 for 6 screws and nuts. Crazy.
I checked Quadratec, but their kit only seems to have the screws, and I need the nuts as well.
Has any one bought this off E-Bay?
SET OF 8 Easy ON OFF Jeep Wrangler Hard TOP Bolts Screws Washers AND Nuts | eBay
If so, how was it? I can get it for about $45 shipped, so this would definitely be the cheaper option, but if it's crap, well.........
Has anybody done a DIY solution they would be willing to share?
I searched through the forum, but none of the threads I read were able to point me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance.
