Hard Top Hoist Recommendations?

I have absolutely no space except for the space aboce the parked cars in garage. Which model can you recommend? Is there one that lifts the entire top with all three panels attached?

I don't think the front panels can stay attached to the rear piece when the rear piece comes off. They're just placed on top of the it with the handles turned to hold them down, but I don't think they'll hold their own weight. You could probably take them off and lay them on the rear section on a towel before raising it though.

I have the Lange hoist a top for my TJ's hardtop and I am pleased with it. If I didn't have a soft top I would have paid the extra bucks for the electric hoist but as I plan to hoist it up and down once each per year the manual works good for me.

They make models for all the JK tops.

I recommend it because you can usually getit for $100 bucks or less and you still have to remove the "T" tops to liftit !

You won't be screwing around trying to balance your $2000 buck hardtop, while you try to rig pulleys and ropes !!

You can leave your top suspended and drive underneath it --

The Lange hoist (ageless) is a good one too- just don't try to rig a pulley sys !!

Check-ebay/Costco/Amazon for deals !!

Good luck

I am using the Harkin Hoister and am pleased with it -- Harken Hoister 7803B - Harken Hoister Garage Storage 4-Point Lift System for Jeep® Hardtops & Recreational Equipment - Quadratec

You can find it $30-$40 cheaper on eBay and it is much easier to install than it looks.

Mine sat in the box for a while too, because it seemed like I needed to have a half day clear to install it. The reality is that it was up and working in less than 45 minutes.
