Hard top hosts are expensive!

Screw that!

This afternoon I spent an hour and about $30 worth of lumber and hardware from Lowe's. Ended up topless!

That's what ive nicknamed DIYJ.

Right now it's a yj with no front clip, trans, or tcase. It's eventually going to be my new rock rig.

Its also a convenient place to tie of my host.

I just put 4 eye bolts in the ceiling beams in my garage and attached 4 ratchet tie downs. Back up the Jeep, attach one to each corner, raise it off, and instant storage.

Yep, that was my first plan. I decided this was a better solution. For me at least. My garage doesnt allow for me to just leave the hard top up there, and still be able to park the jeep.

I har you. Fortunately, after I back into the garage and hoist the top, I can just pull out and turn around and pull in forward. The top hovers over my hood a little bit perfectly.
