ask your dealer, they can store it for you, they're quite expensive though, so you can do like I did ...

took mine off last summer in my condo building garage with a buddy, climbed two stories of stairs and put it in an extra room then covered it with a huge blanker and only told my wife after it was done... gonna have to find another place for next year hahaahha

Welcome. I keep mine in the garage all spring, summer and fall. But since you don't have a garage easily accessible, you might look into a storage facility. You can get a 6 month lease ( or more) at a reasonable price. Drive to it with a buddy or two on a nice day, lift it off and put in a nice safe place until the weather starts to turn crappy again.

You need to remove the hardtop in order to remove the soft top for the first time... The soft top has been placed there for shipping purposes only.

you can leave it there for now and drive without damaging it because it is folded from the factory and you won't damage it but the next time you put your hard top back on, make sure to completely remove the soft top.

good luck

Tell your parents that you will suspend it from the garage ceiling and it won't be in their way at all. They probably just don't want it taking up space but it is really easy to rig a hoist for it and just hang it.

When I take the hard top off for summer and put the soft top on I store the hardtop on a work bench.
A cut down sheet of plywood on sawhorses would work just fine.

If you place it with the roof against the wall and the rear widow toward the cieling it fits really well and does not take up valuable bench top space.

I did put two anchors in the wall to hook a tie-down through so the top cannot get knocked off the bench.

Get a RACOR HD hoist and install in your dads garage, he could find LOTTA uses for it when your top is gone

I've used mine for LOTTA things, including taking my top off and storing against the ceiling, course I've got 10' ceilings in my Nv place-

You can getum from costco/ebay/amazon usually from $99 to 150 bucks--

Can'tbeatem

There is also some directions floating around somewhere on how to make a dolly for your hardtop.
