Has anyone hard wired the power for their xmradio?

ok consider this a dead thread, mod can delete if they like.

I found this on xmfan.com which will allow me to hard wire my xmradio into the battery.

ok nevermind this whole thread, mod, you can even delete it! I figured it out. Its the Blue Red wire that goes to the cigarette lighter and the black is the ground. pretty basic. the center dash wasnt hard to remove. it was all pretty easy.

The thread actually may help some who are doing the same as you have. Have you got pictures of the dash being dismantled? That might be useful. You informed me of a power supply that is 5 volts that can be hard wired. That may prove useful in the future for me.

Thanks.

right on, just felt like I was rambling to myself.

No, I forgot to take pictures last night. I was kinda nervous doing it. I am always when I am removing a dash for the first time.

Basically you want to gently pop the middle top out with a flat head. there are four bolts two on top and two on the bottom (remove the bottom plate with mesh pocket with a flat head gently, be careful not to scratch the front of it, its a soft plastic and easily scratched, as I found out )

after that, there are 4 (2 on each side, one by the vent and one above the lighter and aux power) latches that go in, you can just gently pull it out. be careful cause of the wiring, you cant totally remove it unless you are going to pull out the lighter and power aux and the air controls, but if my fat stubby polish fingers can fit in there and do the work, others should not have any problem
