Hardtop Rear Wiper Issue

Purchased and installed a used mopar hardtop on my 07 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Saraha. Had the 4 Wheel Drive guys install the harness. Went to the dealer and had them put in the sales codes per the harness installation instructions. Only one issue... The wiper does not return to the home postion after turning the rear wiper off. Any suggestions to fix this issue?

Personally, I agree with ElevatedOffroad...I hate rear wipers, all they do is scratch the glass.

If you think you need it, try removing the arm and running the motor, see where it comes to rest, then put the arm back on, it may be out of adjustment.
If that doesn't work, you'll have to check all the linkage, something may have gotten flipped in the arms.

I do want to use the rear wiper for city/hwy driving. Off-road, the top is not on. The problem is, when I turn the wiper off at the steering wheel, the wiper just stops and does not return to home like the front wipers do. The travel of the blade to and fro is just fine...

Two problems I can think of. The wiper switch is faulty, or it's the motor. Ok, maybe a third. See if the relay is staying active after you turn it off. It should stay on till it finish wiping.

Well, you'll have to fix or replace the motor assembly. There is a limit switch in the assembly that keeps the motor powered until it returns to the home position. If you're lucky, a connection might be undone. No matter how you slice it, you have to remove the wiper motor assembly.
