Did you install the lift yourself (how long did it take) and where did you get it. Just got my new 4door today with a hardtop. That color is great by the way. I ended up with black but it was between one just like yours and the black.

My husband and I installed ours and it took longer then we both thought...howere most of that was debating where to actually hang it, we didn't want to block the attic or any light fixtures.

Hi, i will post the pics. It took about 3 or 4 hours. I had to reinforce the rafters a little. but the installation went pretty smooth..

the hardest thing was the rear door removal- I could not get the rear doors off for the life of me, and one good tug and I ended up slightly nicking the top of the hinge
and the door came off..

I've mine coming in soon but I hung the 2x6s to get a head. Now the instructions said two 6 footers. Well I bought a 12 footer and cut in half to save a little cash. After measuring the rafters and the distance between the first and last rafter was more than 6ft. So went back and bought 2 8 footers like I guess I should have. Word of advise.....Know the distance between your first and last rafter before you go and buy your boards if you are looking to save a few bucks. If not worried about saving I guess just buy the 8'.

Mine took about a little over an hour to install, mostly because I had to relocate one of the sets of hooks and had to move the buckle snap a couple times. I also added additional hooks to the ceiling and have additional straps that help hold it in place because it's hanging over my 5 series and I really don't want to see that mess if it falls.

I don't keep the doors off the Jeep for more than a weekend at a time because it's the wife's dd and she doesn't want her hair going crazy on her way to work. To keep the doors out of the way I have heavy duty L hooks with pads at the top of my wall where I hang them.
