Has anybody tried this throttle body

Modern Muscle CNC Ported High Velocity Throttle Body, 3.8LV6 Jeep JK (69mm)

Modern Muscle's new 5-axis CNC Ported High Velocity V6 Throttle Body was developed to help increase the flow of air through the stock intake manifolds. With a superb design based on their 30+ years of drag and oval track racing, from NHRA to NASCAR. This throttle body makes power without introducing any of the negative airflow characteristics that must be tuned out.

Features:

· Fully Plug and Play
· Max Airflow Through OEM Throttle Body
· Perfect Drivability
· No Issues Requiring Tuning

I runs about 350 bucks. I have been thinking of doing work to my stock throttle body.

That is $200 more than getting a Viper throttle body. Do a search on it. There are numerous posts and it seems like a viable switch.

Yea, if your really wanting to do this, which most that have haven't seen much improvement except in throttle response but the Viper throttle body is a lot better deal.

Here is a review and installation write-up

I have seen the viper throttle body ( which is actually a commander throttle body) I have read mixed reviews on performance.

My guess is some people think they are installing superchargers haha.

But what worries me is the amount of people say they have computer issues later, like check engine light and so on.

To be honest if I can find enough people to tell this won't give programming issues down the line I wouldn't mind spending the extra cash. The company that makes them seem to have a pretty good background working on hemi engines, but now days anyone can post a pretty site with lots of figures.

The computer issue seems to be at higher elevations but it is caused by increased air flow which would be the same for any new throttle body with larger ports allowing in increased air flow. I know the company claims no issues but they are trying to sell it to and who knows what real data they have collected. The computer issue with the viper seems to be a relatively small percentage and since this one is so expensive, i doubt there is enough feedback to know for sure. Of course I could be wrong and I am not willing to try it for the little gain these give.

This is pretty expensive for what little you can gain from it. I am sure many would love for you to be the ginny pig though

That is true, which why I posted this, it was gonna cost 100 buck to polish my throttle port. I had a fastman throttle body on my liberty it never gave any problems it set me back 230 and to me it was money well spent. For those people who bought the viper I would suggest maybe doing the exhaust, the air pressure coming in need be let out with equal power
