Has anyone used this in a JK?

It looks like a good alternative to Spod.

Produced by fellow board member DJstorm:

This is "The Black Box" It is a small in size but packs a huge punch! Inside is 5 relays that can power anything up to 35 amps. I design this system to help people wire up extra accessories like lights, CB, Air compressors without worrying if they installed it correctly. One of the awesome things about this system is that you can use the the stock OEM wiring harness to trigger the relay on/off. Like all systems on the market there is a little wiring you will have to do but the instructions make it a breeze.

A few pics

Don't know if this is where you got the pics, ESP, but maybe there's more info in this thread:

After riding around in DJ's 2012 with them installed I was very impressed with their function and how cleanly they can be installed. Was a great looking upgrade and very professional.

Not trying to start a vs thread or a war because spod is great product but it's $$$
Welcome to you opinion by all means but being 55% saving, more expanability, just as easy to install its hard to say it can't be beat. John w/ spodis a great guy I've talked with him numerous times. Mine doesn't have the bells and whistles like the spod ( wireless feature). But it is water proof and smaller

The top picture with wire rolled up is the finalized model. The black sleeve is a skin to help route the switch wires, the others are output wires.

Will you have these available for the get together "Go Topless" day on May 15th in Garner? I'd definitely like to see yours more up close now that I know what it does.

I ordered one of Justin's Black Boxes. I'll do a write up on the install when I get it.

It's for a 2012 JK and the install is a bit different from earlier models because of lack of room under the hood.
Gonna be nice.

What year jeep do you have?

Look in to the a pillar or maybe running a differen type switch (smaller).

The gear shifter CAN hit the switch from some sources that I've heard from. I use the Apillar mount my self.

The gear shifter boot WILL hit the switches with the daystar. I ended up buying another boot from redline and it works great.

Awesome, I've heard mix reviews and was under the impression that stock jeep wouldn't but if you put a BODY lift then it would hit the switches.

Thanks for the picture as well!
