Headlamp off delay

What up jeepers. Is there a way I can set in the evic to turn of my headlamp (hot light ect...) if I accidentally leave the m on when I kill the engine.

Thanks

You can use EVIC to set the headlight delay to 0, 30, 60, or 90 seconds after you turn off the ignition and open a door. Without EVIC, they don't just stay on, they go out after some short amount of time to save the battery.

Short answer no.

The setting you're referring to in EVIC is headlamp off delay. That setting is how long the headlamps stay on after the lights are turned off.

Case 1:

On Wranglers with automatic headlamps, Sharas, Rubicons and some of the special edition Wranglers, this setting tells the automatic headlamps how long to stay on after the key is removed.

Case 2:

On Wranglers with manual headlamps such as Sport, Sport S and X, this setting tells the headlamps how long to stay on if you turn them off after removing the key from the ignition. If you turn the headlamps off before turning off the Jeep, this setting does nothing.

For either system, if the headlamp switch is left on and the driver's door is open with the keys out of the ignition, a chime and EVIC warning message of "Lights ON" is displayed to remind you to turn your headlamps off. The setting you're referring to in EVIC will not override the switch if left in the on position and you will drain your battery.

This is the same on all current Chrysler products with EVIC.

IIRC, that's the way it works for me. I have the Auto headlights option, but I almost never use it. I think my lights stay on for the 90 seconds I set in the EVIC if I turn off the ignition before turning off the lights. But, now I'm going to have to go out to the Jeep and check, because I do it so automatically, I really can't swear to what I remember....
