Headlight issue - code b2394

My headlights keep shutting off when in the auto mode. If i drive through a bright area (like by a gas station, nothing way bright), within about a half a mile all my lights go completely out. They wont come back on in auto mode at all, but they do when I just put them in the on position.

Its throwing a B2394 flash to pass/horn switch circuit stuck code.

The dealer cleared the code & told me to come back when it happens again. Boy, they're so helpful. Does anyone think that code has anything to do with my auto headlights going out? I figured it was just a bad sensor.

I know its not a big deal since I dont have to use auto mode - but dammit for a $35k+ jeep the damn lights should work properly. Plus this isnt the first or even second unsolved electrical problem I've had.

Sorry I can't help with your problem, Sue. But I did want to ask was there a special package you ordered to get the auto lights? Or does it come standard with a trim level?

Thanks! I hope someone else can help you with your lights!

I would hazard that it is a bad switch, since the turn signal stalk also works the flash-to-pass high beams and the parking/headlight/auto circuits.

Next time you have a minute, go out to the Jeep and check all the functions on that stalk and see if they all work.

Go back to the dealer and gripe incessantly until they listen or find a competent dealer.

Thats an interesting though 2five & I wouldn't doubt if you're right. Everything else seems to work on the stick. But tomorrow night I'm coming through the spot that always turns the lights off so I'll see if it throws that code.

Star, I'm not sure but It might be the evic group that has the auto headlights. Someone else will know for sure.

They are an option. Had them on the '11JKUR as well as now on the '13 JKUR 10A. The sensor is up on top center of the dash. I am with 2five, I am thinking it's the stalk.
