Heated Cloth Front Seats?

I know they exist but I'm in the process of ordering a Rubi Unlimited with cloth seats and every time the Dealer puts in the option for Heated Seats the computer kicks it back and says you need Leather to order Heated Seats. I know there are 2011 Rubi Unlimiteds out there with cloth heated seats. Anyone know what has to be done to get Heated Seats with Cloth?

Most manufacturers don't don't heated with cloth. VW is the only one I can think of off the top of my head that does. But if you want heated cloth call any good interior shop, they can and will do it for you.

The only way to order a new jeep with heated seats is to order the leather which comes with heated seats. Never seen heated cloth seats on any vehicle. Put your as$ on some class. LEATHER

And yes Jeep has been offering heated cloth seats for many years now just not the wrangler until this year.

Leather Trimmed Seats (*PL)
• Driver Height Adjuster Seat (CDH)
• Front Seat Back Map Pockets (CSM)
• Heated Front Seats (JPM)

Think of it this way for 400 bucks you get leather since heated seats are included in the leather seat option.

Even Suzuki has them, so it's no rocket science to get it done. And leather is nice, but not when your top is off and the sun is shining

Put them in yourself... or dealer install.

I used the Check Corp kit from Quadratec. They also sell the Mopar version (also made by Check, but with a different switch and $100 more).

Here's my install write-up: http://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/201...ion-75230.html

I have heated cloth seats in my 2010 Sahara. It was an option thru the Mopar catalog. Dealer installed. I ordered them when I ordered the Jeep.

I ordered my 2011 JKU Rubi with heated cloth seats. I don't know if they'll actually be heated when it finally gets here, but the salesman added it to the order as an option. I'll let you know in a month or two......

From the factory. How about as a Mopar accessory. I have the Mopar heated seats as a dealer option in my 10 Rubi and in the book that they showed me, there was a part # for cloth and another for leather. Are the seats different? If it's offered that way, why not as a factory option on an 11 as they advertised?

I have fords with both heated and cooled seats and I like the cooling feature better then the heat. Don't really use either one that much but the cooled seats feel really good on a 100 degree day and shes been setting in the hot sun. Maybe the 2012 will get these along with the gutless wonder (no torque pentajunk) Jesus motor!!!

My 2011 Sahara Unlimited has heated cloth seats. They are only heated seat bottoms, not the seat backs (Which would have been nice!) To this day if I try to build the same Jeep on their website, it will not do it with heated seats unless leather is chosen as well?
When I ordered it late September I was able to chose heated cloth.

Right from the factory you can't get heated seats with cloth interior. As of right now on my dealer mopar site there is not a part number for heated seats. I haven't checked the catalog yet.

Cooled seats sounds a bit overkill in a convertible, but I can imagine it actually being very nice. How does it work?

They use perfarated leather and a fan forces cold air through the seat bottem and back as it is tied in to the ac system. There is a fan under each seat and it has high and low just like the heat which is red control and the cool is blue.

Pretty cool. But that's on your Ford you said. Never heard of anything like that in a Jeep?

The new Grand Cherokee has ventilated seats, there are plenty of companies that can install ventilated seats in any vehicle, some even have a cooling membrane built between the cushion and the leather.

Was yours a dealer add-on as in done at your dealer after they got it? I know Mopar has the Check Co. heated seats available from the dealer.

I will keep believing that since there is no part number for 2011 wrangler heated seats from mopar. There is for 2010, and most likely they would work on the 2011.

Your heated seats were factory installed, not dealer installed.

You said it...Not me. I was just stating that you can get heated cloth seats from the factory. Maybe it's a Canadian thing...It's cold here you know!

You ordered yours, that was my point. If you ordered it a while ago it was an option, if you try now, you have to get the leather.

I wasn't getting personal, just wanted everyone to know the facts for factory and dealer installed options.

If Leather Seats are ordered Heated Seats come with the Leather but if Cloth Seats are ordered you CAN'T GET HEATED SEATS.

You wonder what Chrysler/Fiat or whomever, is thinking. You couldn't get heated seats from the factory at all in 2010. But, if you ordered the cloth or leather heated seat kit from the dealer, as a dealer installed option, different part #'s, you got the heated seat bottoms and backs which work great on my 10 Rubi by the way. Then it seems you could initially get heated cloth and leather seats for 2011 from the factory; but now only if you order leather you only get heated bottoms not backs? And according to Pato, who does know the updated info. from Chrysler, there are no part #'s for Mopar heated seats as a dealer installed option. But, according to our Canadian neighbors you can order heated cloth seats from the factory. Makes me smile knowing that I decided to order a 10 instead of waiting for an 11.

Stuff like this definitely changes from country to country. In the UK for example you can only get a black wrangler....and Porsche can't be bought without full leather (this means also the the top of the dash and so on) in Switzerland.
