Negative. Why did you pull the seats? Stupid question, but did you short out a fuse?

dunno, thats what im hoping for but didnt have time to see, picked it up from the line-x place today and in the 40degree temps riding in to work with no top or doors i noticed. when i took out the passenger seat the dash light came on that i think says the air bags arent working cause theirs no seat and line-x place said i may need to have the computer "flashed" so was kinda hoping someone else has had that problem

Make sure all connections are made well, disconnect battery for a few minutes and see if the computer gets happy.

I agree with bronco... I would disconnect and reconnect the battery cables. Also, check all other cables, connections, and fuses.

I have only had my '12 JK Arctic for 10 days and have not looked under the seat yet but...are there any fuses under the seat? I know some vehicles do.

Sounds like you have the optional side airbags, which are seat-mounted. Is it possible that the seat didn't get plugged back on on install?

no i dont have the side air bags, just the heated leather. everythings plugged in. i personally removed the passenger side and was careful with everything and when i put it back in it didnt work either. didnt check for the fuse yet, kinda took a back seat cause i needed to put everything back in before tonights storm. as for the fuses i took out the glove box and couldnt find any, where exactly are they located?

Fuse are in the TIPM, right next to the airbox.

God, you would think that with all of us on here we could figure out an electrical problem.

Brainstorm people!

How new is the vehicle? Sis the seats, wires, or other components recently get wet? Could you have killed the heating element? Did they work before you dropped your rig off at the place you picked it up at?

the jeeps a 2012 and no it was garage kept the entire time there at the line-x place so no water damage. i took out the passenger seat and all it was was 4 bolts and a plug and yes everything worked the day i dropped it off. i plugged everything back in but the "airbag warning light" stayed on so i'm guessing its just not picking up that theirs a seat there.

What would be cheaper ...taking it to dealer or buying computer chip reader?

Brother, you have me stumped.

Dunno, it's still under warranty, just don't see how taking the seats out can do that. Dealer has to know what's happened cause they send some there.

hey guys, I had a question about heated seats. i did a search on here to see if anybody brought it up before but I didn't feel like digging too deep. I am about 9 months away from ordering a rubi. I would like to get the heated seats but Ive wondered if people who have heated seats and go off roading ever had a problem with them. Ive seen videos where people can take on some water and can get pretty muddy in there too. Basically my question is how water safe is the heated seats?
