Help?

I just lifted my JKU this past week. Now the ESC light and Engine light have come on twice together. It seems like the vehicle is thinking that it is losing traction and is applying limited power to then engine. Is there any way to mitigate this? it is happening on standard street roads at 30-40. Kind of scary honestly. Also I have not transfered the TPMS sensors to my new wheels yet, but doubt this would be the cause of the problem.

Kelsey I have had an alignment done and steering wheel is damn near center. Could be off a degree or two but it is as close as you can get to perfect.

Sounds like a procal would fix it since it corrects for all that good stuff. might want to check out AEV website for one or Quadratic. "some times quadratic is better since it's easy to exchange if something is missed up" and you might want to check out the "How To" posts also they have alot of good info on things like this

If you do have one all you'll need to do is drive straight an get the wheel straight. Next plug in the procal in steering wheel centering mode. This will tell you how the computer sees the wheel when it's straight. If it shows it's off just correct or take kit back to whoever did the work.

Ya I am going in Tuesday to get it checked, ugh it really blows. Makes me nervous, but I am getting quick discos installed tuesday so we will have him hook the diags then. I think it is one of 3 things based on other forums a pinched wire to the wheel speed sensor, a faulty steering column communication, or the lack of tpms on the tires at the moment.

you said it was the MIL indicator (check engine) correct? TPMS will have no effect on those lights, you'll get the separate TPMS light... My bet it's either the steering wheel not being straight or the wiring to a sensor got yanked out dropping the axle during the lift.

Could very well be. It was done at a shop so i would have thought he would notice something like that. However, the TPMS light has been on since the tires were changed. the Esc came on in conjunction with the MIL light. the ESC has turned off and on since then the engine light resets in 5 ignition cycle provide the ESC doesn't trip again. ugh.....

Step 1. Center axles

Step 2. Make sure you got an 1/8th inch of toe in if you got 35s

Step 3. Center Steering Wheel

Perfect thanks. I'll crawl under the hood tonight. Do you know anything about the wheel speed sensors? Where are they? It said one could have gotten pinched during the lift install

Follow your ABS lines down and check that all four are clipped in. Also check your front tires have not rubbed into your brakes and abs lines.

Haha! That's right, besides, if the "forum nazi" over there finds any reference to this fine forum, you will be hit by his ban stick!

Ok Fixed steering a lil still not perfect don't think I will ever get it there. However we hooked it up to a Diags Comp today and the issue appears to be with a Cam-shaft position sensor. blah... Looks like a trip to the stealership is in order, but should be under warranty.
