So this has happened once each day the past 3 days where ill be sitting at a red light in drive and my jeep just turns off completely. One time it restarted on its own and the others I placed it in park and had to restart it on my own. I woke up this morning and the clock is off by several hours as if the system reset itself. Does anyone have any ideas as go what could be causing this? I want to get it fixed before anything serious arises from it.
Another issue is the computer seems to reset itself. Every time I start the jeep the clock is different and my sound settings are all back to neutral.

I just bought my 2013 JKU Sahara in march 2013. This happened 3 total times to me as well. The first 2 times I started the jeep. Drove about 1 mile and had the radio and A/C blowing and the A/C completely turned off and cycled back on as well as the radio. Only lasted seconds. The last time the radio/computer system completely shut down, radio screen factory rebooted and all settings were at factory settings. I took to dealer this past week 4/15/2013 in Miami, Florida and they could not replicate, no system errors and "had not heard anyone else with this problem" yet. Anyone know any explanation I am all ears. Thanks for the post. I thought I was going nuts. (My wife was present one of the times.)
That's what I am worried about. That they won't beable to do anything since they can't replicate it. So I am not sure what I am going to do. Hopefully some others chime in and we can see what is up.
If you've still got warranty coverage, I'd march into the dealer ASAP. You want to at least get it documented in the system that you're having this issue prior to your warranty expiring.
If it's not the battery connections, then it sounds like an electrical gremlin. Those can be unfortunately notoriously difficult to replicate, diagnose, and fix . . . .
Yes I have an auto start installed. That seems to be working fine as of late. I am going to the dealership soon to have it documented and see if there is anything I can do about it
Yes I also have the auto start feature. Battery cables tight and I'd already had it noted on service check. I also purchased unlimited lifetime Chrysler warranty. I'm not stressing it. The jeep has never shut off like the first post. Just the AC and the 710 alpine system. I will wait and see what you gurus discover. I love this forum. Like porn for jeep junkies.
Just throwing this out there..but I would check the IOD fuse and make sure its fully seated...they pull it from factory so battery won't drain and dealer is supposed to re-seat it on delivery. Mine wasn't n caused funky electrical stuff to happen sporadically
I had the AC shut down once, then come alive very shortly. Have not had the engine shut down yet.
