Help: Buying NAV for a Sport

I'm thinking of getting a nice NAV/Stereo installed in my 12 Sport. What brands are good? What about grabbing a Rubicon NAV off eBay.

Any tips would be a big help. Thx!

I'd recomment an Alpine unit. Easy to use, fairly easy to install, and overall a great unit. I wouldn't recommend a factory unit as installation becomes a problem (from my understanding, none of the wiring is the same) and also requires a flash update. By the time you pay to get a unit to you, installed, and your computer flashed, you'd probably end up being cheaper to get the Alpine unit. Kenwood and Pioneer also make good units, but from installing them, I've found the Alpine is easier to use, has a better map system, and is overall a better unit. Just my two cents.

I just went through this. Installed an '11 RER in my '07 that came with the stock radio. Had to add the gps antenna...$37. That was it. Works fine. I got the RER for $650. I priced all the other manufacturers double din stereos with NAV, none came in under $900. So, as of right now, I'm good. Folks are right though. Do your research. I did. Looked around for the better part of 6 months before I pulled the trigger. I'll add the Bluetooth mic next. Another $37, and see how that works.
