looking for info. want/need to switch factory tires on new 2011 jk, Vehicle came standard with 16in steel rims. Looking for ideas and would like to be around 800 for the rubber and give a more aggressive look thanks

Well, tires are one of the things that you tend to get what you pay for. With tires "cheap" usually winds up being a "cheap" tire. I'd spend a little extra and go with a quality set of AT or MT's (depending on your needs) like those made by BFG, Goodyear, Nitto, Toyo, Dick Cepek, Mickey Thompson or Pro Comp. Also remember that you can't just go by the name brand. Most larger companies like Goodyear and BFG make low end, price point tires and quality, more expensive tires.

Rubi takeoffs

See them all over Craiglist and on here.
Sometimes brand new with rim included for $800 or less.

Your points are taken. The other issue is I can't lift the jeep yet (82 year old baby sitter) I figure I can put 32's on and save money by having the rims painted black. I don't mind the stock rubi tires but want something more aggressive. Am I right with the size on stock jk. Next year when baby hits school gonna 4 inch lift and make room for 35's. Thats the reason don't want to do large out lay for tires I plan to switch in a year. In the mean while my jeep looks silly on them pizza cutters. I got jeep envy. Head on desk
